Indian cuisine is always known for its piquant, aromatic and vibrant nature. The spices used in a variety of dishes throughout India are widely known and unique. The sweets of India are the amalgamation of sugar (or other sweeteners) and spices (like cardamom) that make them stand out from the crowd. Let it be the spiced Biryani, Pulao, and Curries or sweet Gulab Jamun, Barfi, and Payasam; India has always been a land of foods which makes you crave for more until you feel Gratified. The Food is to be consumed to benefit the body; we look into Food beyond the beneficial element and goes to the ‘Sense’s Gratification’ aspect of Food.
We explore the history and share the stories of various famous Indian Dishes in ‘Ken on Cooking’ section. Each Food has distinct characteristics that add the unique element to cooking and associated with different Cultures in various ways; the articles in ‘Food’ section will feed you with the Wisdom on Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. This venture is a little effort in knowing the true ‘Indianness’ of Food and a tribute to its legacy.
